Custom Day — your questions

What's included in the €900 Custom Day, and what does fuel add on top?

€900 is the boat for a day of six to ten hours, up to 8 guests. It covers 25% Croatian VAT, your skipper from Brač, towels, cold drinks, snorkelling masks and fins, the shaded hardtop and the cabin with WC. Fuel is separate, billed at the end of the day against the route you actually ran — typically €150–300. Konoba lunch you pay direct, usually €40–60 a head, plus any island entrance fees.

Can we go anywhere we want for €900, or does a longer route cost more?

The boat is €900 whether the day runs six hours or ten. What changes is fuel. A close-range loop round Šolta, Brač and the Pakleni islands sits near the bottom of the €150–300 band; Korčula, Mljet or Vis near the top, because the engines run harder for longer. Send us the places you want over WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly what fits in one day, before you pay the 30% deposit. Nothing gets added at the pontoon.

Is a custom boat day OK with young kids or someone who can't swim?

It's the trip we'd point you to, because you choose the route. We keep open crossings short, anchor in shallow sheltered bays on Šolta and the north side of Brač, and break for shade under the hardtop. The cabin has a WC, and there are two fridges for whatever the children need cold. Anyone who doesn't swim is comfortable staying aboard. Tell us the ages when you book so the right life jacket sizes are on the boat.

What happens to our custom itinerary if it's windy that day?

The route changes, not the date. Nothing is locked until the day before, so we rebuild the day around the forecast: the Split channel side of Brač and Šolta, or the Trogir and Blue Lagoon direction, instead of an open crossing to Vis or Mljet. We make that call the evening before and message you then — never at the marina. If the day genuinely isn't worth doing and we cancel, your 30% deposit comes back in full, no fees.

What time should we leave, and how many hours do we actually need?

For Šolta, Brač and the Pakleni islands, six or seven hours from about 09:30 is comfortable. For Vis, Korčula or Mljet, leave at 08:00 and take the full ten — Vis is roughly an hour each way at 30–40 knots cruising, Korčula and Mljet closer to two, and the run home shouldn't be a rush. Early buys you empty bays: most Split charter boats leave between 09:00 and 10:00. We start from ACI Marina Split, the Riva, or the private marina near the airport.
