Where do you pick us up in Split — and what if we're flying into Split airport?

Two options. In town we come alongside at ACI Marina Split or the Riva pier — you get the exact pin and your skipper's number after booking. From the airport it's a ten-minute taxi to our private marina at Divulje, then about 90 minutes across to Vis Town, where we land on the waterfront. Staying in Komiža? That's a 20-minute drive over the hill, or we run round the island by sea — more time, more fuel.

Our flight is delayed. Do we lose the boat?

No. Give us the flight number at booking and we track it — a late arrival moves your slot, not the price, and there's no waiting charge. The Saxdor has an infrared night camera, so a crossing after dark is not a problem. Two honest limits: we run two boats, so if another booking follows yours we may swap you onto the second boat or push you an hour; and departures after 21:00 carry a 25% night surcharge. You see that number before you pay.

Is a private boat to Vis actually faster than the catamaran?

On the clock, barely. The fast catamaran does Split–Vis in about 1h20–1h35, the car ferry closer to 2h20, our boat in 90 minutes. The difference sits either side of the crossing: in July you're at the Split terminal 30–45 minutes early, there are only a couple of sailings a day, and the airport taxi to that terminal takes 30–50 minutes in traffic. Miss the last one and you sleep in Split. We leave when you're ready, no queue at either end.

How much luggage can we bring to Vis?

On the Saxdor, bags go in the cabin and under the stern bench, out of the spray. The honest rule: one large case plus a cabin bag per person, up to six guests. Eight guests with eight big cases do not fit one boat — tell us at booking and we send both boats or run two legs. The GT7 RIB, €525 against the Saxdor's €750, has less dry stowage, so luggage-heavy groups go on the Saxdor for the Vis crossing. Boards, bikes and pushchairs fit with notice.
