Frequently asked questions

Booking, weather, on-board, and payment questions answered. If yours isn't here — WhatsApp me directly.

Booking

  • How far in advance should I book?

For July and August weekends, 2–4 weeks ahead is safest. For weekdays or shoulder season (May, late September, October) you can often book 3–7 days ahead. Send me a WhatsApp message with your dates and I'll confirm availability the same day.

  • What's your minimum group size?

There's no minimum — you charter the whole boat. The price is per boat, not per person, so it's the same whether you're 2 or 8 guests. Many of my best days have been couples or families of three.

Weather & cancellations

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

If the marine forecast shows wind over 25 knots or significant wave height that makes the day uncomfortable, we either reschedule for another day in your trip or refund your deposit in full. I make this call 24 hours before departure based on actual forecast — never let you arrive at the marina to find out.

  • Can we still go out if it's slightly windy?

Yes — the Adriatic is rarely flat, and the Saxdor 320 GTC handles 15–20 knots of wind comfortably with its twin-stepped hull. We sometimes adjust the route (e.g. stay on the leeward side of Brač instead of crossing to Vis) but the day still happens.

On board

  • Do you provide food and drinks?

Cold water, juice, and beer are included. For lunch, I book a Konoba (family-run restaurant) on Pakleni or Brač — you pay the restaurant directly, typically €40–60 per person. If you have dietary requirements, tell me at booking and I'll match you to the right Konoba.

  • Is there a toilet on board?

Yes — a private cabin with WC and freshwater shower. The cabin also gives you a shaded place to change or rest mid-day.

  • What should I bring?

Sunscreen, swimwear, a light layer for the return cruise, sunglasses with retainer strap, and any medications. We provide towels, snorkel gear, and shaded seating. No need for sea sickness pills for most people, but if you're prone, take one before departure.

Payment

  • How do I pay?

30% deposit at booking via Stripe (card or Apple/Google Pay). Remaining 70% on the day, in cash (EUR) or by card on board. Deposits are refundable if I cancel for weather; otherwise non-refundable within 7 days of departure.

  • Is gratuity expected?

Tipping is appreciated but never expected. Croatian customary range is 10–15% of the day rate if you had a great time, less or nothing if you didn't. I'd rather hear honest feedback than receive a tip you didn't mean.
