Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

By booking with Maestral Speedboat Charter you agree to the terms below. This is a placeholder — finalise with your Croatian lawyer before launch.

1. Services

Maestral Speedboat Charter (operator: [legal entity to be filled], OIB: [TBD], Split, Croatia) provides private skippered speedboat day trips and water-taxi transfers within central Dalmatia, Croatia. The boat operates under a commercial vessel registration (brodica za gospodarske namjene).

2. Booking & deposit

All bookings are confirmed only after a 30% non-refundable deposit is received. The remaining 70% is payable on the day, in cash (EUR) or by card on board. Inquiries via the website or WhatsApp do not constitute confirmed bookings until you receive a written confirmation from us.

3. Cancellations & weather

If we cancel due to unsafe sea conditions (wind > 25 knots, significant wave height, port closure), we offer a full refund of the deposit or rescheduling within your trip dates. If you cancel: 100% refund up to 14 days before; 50% refund 7–14 days before; no refund within 7 days. Force majeure (medical emergency, flight cancellation) handled case-by-case in good faith.

4. Safety & skipper authority

The skipper holds Croatian commercial qualifications (Voditelj brodice C kategorije or equivalent) and has final authority over route, timing, and on-board safety decisions. Life jackets are mandatory for all guests when the boat is moving above 20 knots and for all minors at all times. Maximum 8 guests + 1 skipper, no exceptions.

5. Liability

We carry mandatory third-party liability insurance per Croatian law (Zakon o obveznim osiguranjima u prometu, art. 41 — minimum €464 530 per incident) and passenger accident insurance. We are not liable for personal items lost or damaged on board, for delays caused by weather, sea state, or force majeure, or for individual decisions made by guests off the boat (e.g. cliff jumping). Croatian law applies; jurisdiction: Split.

6. Photography

We may take general atmosphere photos and short video clips during trips for marketing purposes. We always blur or omit guests who request it; tell us at the start of the trip if you'd prefer not to be photographed.

7. Conduct on board

Guests are expected to behave responsibly. The skipper may end the trip without refund in case of: drug use, violent behaviour, refusal to follow safety instructions, attempting to operate the boat without authorisation, or causing damage.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Croatian law. Any disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Split, Croatia.
